I really enjoyed your discussion! Dan, I’m with you that I was able to enjoy this on a very fun level. I maybe didn’t take the satire angle quite as hard as you, but I thought it was very tongue-in-cheek until the ending got serious (which I thought was a very good, unexpected way to wrap it up). It was kind of refreshing to hear you guys not completely shit talk the movie, which I think has been a bit overboard in most reviews. Sure, there’s a lot that could be improved, but this was a lot better than I expected it could be. It’s supposed to be trashy anyways. Maybe my expectations gave me a friendlier perspective than others. I’m looking forward to more episodes to come (Showgirls!!).
